The “American Idol” machine was at full throttle last week when Season 7’s Top 10 dazzled the Grand Rapids crowd at Van Andel Arena. It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of the pop cultural phenomenon, but you truly can’t appreciate the madness unless you catch them live – preferably the “American Idol’s Live” tour.

For some of them, it’s a last obligation before they begin a recording career in earnest. For others, it’s the last time they’ll ever see the inside of a tour bus. It’s the American Idols Tour, and at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center last night, there were several members of each camp.
